Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy explains how Valuvia handles personal information on valuvia.net, in our email, and in letters we mail. It is also the notice at collection for California residents.

Information we collect and where it comes from

From you. Identifiers and contact details (name, email, phone, mailing and property address, account login) when you run a property check, place an order, subscribe, or contact us; order and payment status (including last-four and charge status via Stripe—not full card numbers); county filing receipts; uploaded documents and photos; support messages; and consent choices. We do not intend to collect Social Security numbers or government ID numbers.

From public county property records. Property and assessment records (such as address, APN, and assessed values) and the owner name and mailing address listed on public county property records.

From commercial property-data sources. Property characteristics and comparable-sales data from sources such as ATTOM and RentCast, used to generate estimates.

Automatically from your browser or device. IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the pages you visit including the full page address with its query parameters, the referring page, and cookies. When you arrive from an ad, email, or letter we record campaign details: utm_ parameters, Google click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid), the letter or email reference code, the referring site (without its query string), the landing page, and the time. Your browser keeps the details of your first visit for 90 days and of your current visit for the session; if you place an order, they are saved with that order together with your Google Analytics client ID, a pseudonymous identifier from the Google Analytics cookie.

From our email. Promotional email contains a small image that records when the message is opened, with the IP address and user agent of the device that opened it. Links in our email and letters can carry campaign parameters and your reference code, so we can tell which message led to a visit.

How it is used

To provide property checks and packages, verify filing before payment, process payments, deliver documents, support customers, secure the service, prevent fraud, keep required records, send letters about a specific property to the owner name and mailing address shown in public county records, send promotional email only when selected, and measure which ads, emails, and letters lead to visits and orders (conversion measurement). We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Information is shared with service providers that operate functions for us: Vercel (hosting and Vercel Analytics), Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional and promotional email), Lob (printing and mailing letters), and Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement, loaded through Google Tag Manager). Property and comparable-sales data may come from commercial sources such as ATTOM and RentCast.

Valuvia does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads only to measure visits and conversions: we do not use remarketing or advertising audiences, we do not enable Google signals, and our Google tag is set to deny ad personalization and advertising use of user data. Because we do not sell or share in that sense, there is no separate “do not sell or share” request; email support@valuvia.net if you believe otherwise.

Cookies, analytics, and browser signals

Cookies and similar browser storage support authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and the campaign details described above. Vercel Analytics may collect aggregated site activity. Google Analytics sets cookies that hold a pseudonymous client ID. Valuvia does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because no uniform standard exists. Where a legally required opt-out signal applies, Valuvia will honor it.

Marketing email

You can stop promotional email at valuvia.net/unsubscribe or with the unsubscribe link in any promotional email. Transactional messages about an order, payment, account security, or a request you submitted may still be sent.

Stop letters

To stop receiving letters from Valuvia, email support@valuvia.net or call (888) 805-7076 with the owner name and mailing address on the letter, or the reference code printed on it. We will remove that name and address from future mailings, normally within 10 business days. A letter already printed or in the mail may still arrive.

Retention

Order and transaction records are normally kept about five years. Mailing and email lists built for promotions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop letters, or for 24 months after the last mailing or email sent to you, whichever comes first; we keep a minimal record of an opt-out so we can continue to honor it. Site visit logs and email open records are kept for 24 months. Campaign details stored in your browser expire after 90 days. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Other information is kept only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, law, disputes, fraud prevention, or security.

California privacy rights and requests

You may request to know or access the personal information we hold about you, receive a copy, correct it, or delete it. Email support@valuvia.net or use Customer Care at (888) 805-7076. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we will tell you why and may take up to 45 more days. To protect your information, we will verify your identity by matching details you give us—such as your email address, order number, or the mailing address and reference code on a letter—against our records before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request with your signed permission. Legal exceptions may apply. Where California privacy law applies, Valuvia will not discriminate for exercising applicable rights. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under CPRA.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
